COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Aviation Lead Auditor Course is designed for experienced auditors seeking to advance their capabilities in leading, managing, and executing modern, risk-based aviation audits. Building on foundational auditing knowledge, this course equips participants with advanced techniques to identify high-risk operational areas, evaluate safety performance, manage audit teams, and drive continuous improvement across aviation organizations.
Emphasizing the principles of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and data-driven oversight, this training prepares participants to conduct audits that go beyond compliance—focusing instead on system performance, emerging risks, and the long-term effectiveness of corrective actions.
Through practical exercises, real-world scenarios, and collaborative simulations, participants will develop the leadership, analytical, and communication skills essential for effective lead auditors in today’s dynamic aviation environment.
COURSE PREREQUISITES:
To ensure participants are prepared for the advanced, risk-based concepts and leadership responsibilities introduced in the Aviation Lead Auditor Course, candidates must have completed a basic 40-hour Aviation Auditor Training Course. This requirement ensures participants enter the program with sufficient foundational auditing capability, aligning lead-level training with industry expectations and the progression of auditor competencies.
