  • ARGUS International Honors IRM Private Limited as Platinum Rated

Bloomfield, NJ (July 14, 2026) – ARGUS International, a member of the SGS group, honors IRM Private Limited (Air Transport), as the first Operator in India to achieve ARGUS Platinum Rating, which places them in the upper five percent of over 1,000 air transport/charter operators. The Platinum Rating is a higher level in the ARGUS audit standard and is awarded only to those air transport/charter operators who have demonstrated successful implementation of the very best industry safety practices, regarding their operations and maintenance. Achieving ARGUS Platinum Rating is a testament to the aviation community that safety is IRM Private Limited’s top priority. The ARGUS Platinum Rating consists of an audit that takes an in-depth look into the quality of documented processes in addition to the strength of the safety management system implemented by the operator. Receiving a Platinum Rating means the operation was examined over several days by a team of on-site auditors and subsequently completed any corrective actions necessary to meet the standard. "ARGUS is happy to welcome IRM into our family of Platinum rated operators. This is a significant achievement which demonstrates the IRM team's commitment to safety and operational quality. We congratulate them on becoming the first ARGUS Platinum rated operator in India." said by Patrick Chiles, ARGUS International Vice President Business Aviation. "The Audit was a great experience in that we could plug our gaps in our existing System with the additional requirements of ARGUS Platinum Rating. The auditors were very thorough and understanding followed by the ARGUS PROS representative who guided us professionally to successfully complete all the requirements. We now look forward to the Platinum elite Upgrade." said Capt Madhu K Valsaraj, CEO, IRM. “There were occasions when we wanted to understand an observation beyond its script so that we could action the requirement correctly. The Argus Pros was ever ready to get on a call despite the inconvenient time zones. It was great working with ARGUS on the Platinum upgrade journey, and an invigorating learning experience.” said Ajay Mishra, Head of Regulatory Affairs, IRM. ABOUT IRM Private Limited About IRM Group The IRM Group is a diversified business conglomerate united by a common purpose—enhancing lives through innovation, excellence, and sustainable growth. Its legacy traces back to the vision of Shri I.A. Modi, a distinguished industrialist and founder of Cadila Pharmaceuticals, whose commitment to universal wellness laid the foundation for a group of companies dedicated to quality and innovation. Established in 1987, IRM Group was formed to consolidate and manage the non-pharmaceutical businesses of Cadila Pharmaceuticals. Over the years, innovated and led by the successive generations, the Group has expanded into multiple sectors through successful enterprises, including CPL Vetnova (1972), Karnavati Engineering (1981), CADAgro (1992), FMS (1994), and Rosedonmullai Tea Estate (2005). Today, IRM Group continues to uphold its legacy of excellence while embracing new opportunities across diverse industries. IRM PRIVATE LIMITED (Air Transport) Recognizing the growing need for efficient, secure, and time-sensitive executive travel, IRM Group established its Air Transport Division in the year 2014. The division commenced operations with a Cessna Citation Mustang (C-510), a twin-engine light business jet designed for regional travel with seating for up to four passengers. The aircraft successfully supported the Group's executive travel and Air Transport operations, requirements for several years. In 2023, IRM Group significantly enhanced its aviation capabilities with the induction of the Gulfstream GV-SP (G550), registered as VT-RIM. This state-of-the-art long-range business jet represents a major milestone in the Group's commitment to building a fleet with excellence in service and safety, and world-class Air Transport Operations for the business elite. In 2023, the Citation Mustang retired from service, and the Gulfstream G550 now serves as the Group's first exclusive business aircraft. Having established excellence in operations and safety, IRM is now poised to enhance their fleet strength, with similar types of aircrafts, in the foreseeable future. In the words of the proud CEO, “At IRM Private Limited, we take Safety very seriously and built a robust Safety Management System (SMS), that satisfied all the national CAA requirements. We then wanted to test ourselves against Global standards in Safety and SMS. We initially enrolled ourselves as an ARGUS GOLD member, and having gained experience through successful Certifications from five other SMS Global Auditing agencies, we decided to upgrade our ARGUS Gold rating to Platinum. We are happy & proud that we are the First Operator in India to achieve this rating. We shall be striving for the PLATINUM ELITE rating next”. ABOUT ARGUS International Founded in 1995, ARGUS International, Inc., an SGS Company, is a global leader in specialized aviation audit services, inspections, assessments, regulatory support, advanced Safety Management System (SMS) software, and aviation data solutions. • PRISM SMS Multi-Factor Authentication

Bloomfield, NJ (June 8, 2026) - PRISM recently released a new feature to PRISM SMS. For added security, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) can now be enabled within your PRISM SMS account. How Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Works Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires users to provide two or more verification methods to access an account or system. When MFA is enabled in PRISM SMS, each user will be prompted to enter a One-Time Passcode (OTP) that will be emailed to them using their email address that was used to set up their account within PRISM SMS. Benefits of Multi-Factor Authentication MFA significantly reduces the risk of hacking and adds additional levels of protection to your PRISM SMS account by ensuring that even if a password is stolen, unauthorized users still cannot access your data. One-Time Passcode (OTP) Users will not necessarily have to enter a One-Time Passcode (OTP) everytime they log in to PRISM SMS. MFA within PRISM SMS is designed to record a successful login and will not require additional authentication unless the local cache or cookies are cleared. MFA is specific to each browser or app on each device. So, if a user logins to PRISM SMS using Chrome on their laptop, it will record the successful login and not require authentication again (until the cache or cookies are cleared); however, if that user tried to login to PRISM SMS from Edge or the app they would be prompted again to enter a One-Time Passcode (OTP). MFA Offline Capabilities within PRISM SMS Offline capability within PRISM SMS is not affected by MFA. Users will be able to continue to login to PRISM SMS and submit reports in offline mode. If you are interested in adding MFA to your PRISM SMS account, please contact PRISM Support (prism@argus.aero). PRISM Support will enable MFA in your PRISM SMS account. If you would like MFA removed, you can do this at the individual user level within the Account Manager or you can contact PRISM Support to have it disabled for your account.

  • Inside the Certified Charter Broker Program

Bloomfield, NJ (June 10, 2026) - The global air charter marketplace has grown exponentially over the last few decades, becoming a vital component of corporate and private travel. However, the air charter brokerage sector remains largely unregulated, allowing anyone to act as an intermediary without formal licensing or mandatory oversight. This lack of global standardization leaves room for unfair competition and operational inconsistencies that can ultimately put charter consumers and aircraft operators at financial or operational risk. To address this gap and bring transparency to the industry, ARGUS International established the Certified Charter Broker Program—a robust, independent framework designed to identify and promote true leaders in the aviation brokerage space. At its core, the program acts as an unbiased, fact-based validator of a broker’s legitimacy, operational integrity, and safety culture. To earn the rating, brokers must pass a comprehensive documentation review and undergo a rigorous, on-site audit every two years. This biennial assessment evaluates the company’s organizational structure, financial stability, legal compliance, and internal procedures to ensure they strictly meet or exceed industry best practices. For charter brokers, achieving ARGUS Certification is a powerful differentiator that validates their dedication to operational excellence. The intensive auditing process provides actionable feedback that helps firms refine their workflows, stay aligned with evolving regulations, and formalize their internal risk-management systems. By voluntarily opening their doors to an independent third-party audit, certified brokers clearly signal to the market that they operate with the highest level of transparency, fiscal responsibility, and ethical business standards. The benefits of the program ripple across the entire aviation marketplace, delivering immense value to both end-consumers and aircraft operators. For travelers and corporate flight departments, booking through an ARGUS Certified Broker provides invaluable peace of mind. Clients can fly confidently knowing the broker utilizes a strict, data-driven due diligence program to vet aircraft, verify insurance coverage, and select only the safest, most reputable Part 135 operators. For aircraft operators, partnering with a certified broker guarantees a smooth, professional transaction handled by knowledgeable specialists who understand the complexities of flight operations and respect the strict regulatory landscape of business aviation.

  • Emergent 2025 Audit Findings

Bloomfield, NJ (June 9, 2026) - As part of this year's ARGUS Connect event, we presented data on emerging trends from 2025 audit findings. This has become an annual exercise and provides great insight on those areas where operators show room for improvement. Maintenance findings continue to lead by roughly 50% when compared to the next highest category, Safety Management Systems. The most common findings are in the areas of Quality Assurance and Facilities & Security. This includes reliability programs like CASS, tool control and calibration, hazmat procedures, emergency equipment access, and storage of flammable materials. Maintenance findings are frequently a result of insufficient vendor oversight. As 135 operators tend to outsource the bulk of their maintenance, ensuring conformance to the ARGUS standard among their vendors is a critical function which is often overlooked. Interestingly enough, SMS findings typically fall within one of the "four pillars" of SMS: Safety Policy, Risk Management, Safety Assurance, and Safety Promotion. We most often see inadequate Safety Objectives, Safety Risk Profiles (SRP's) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPI's), failure to perform Change Management assessments, lack of Internal Evaluation Programs, insufficient Root Cause Analysis, and lack of employee training. These of course are critical SMS components and illustrate that this industry segment still has much to do before 14 CFR Part 5 goes into effect a year from now. The overarching theme of SMS findings is that 135 operators tend to be "data-rich, analysis-poor". They're collecting information but often lack effective processes to make sense of that data. This is key to identifying trends before they become problems: in other words, moving from a reactive safety culture to a proactive one, with the ultimate goal of achieving a predictive safety culture. There was a marked increase in findings beginning mid-year 2025. Before that time, we consistently averaged 300 open findings each month. As of this writing, we are tracking over 850 open findings. This is due to a number of factors, including a 34% year-over-year increase in audit activity. However, it does not fully account for the increase as several audits have returned with between 60 and 100 findings. While we often see high finding counts for first-time auditees, we have also observed this among established operators. The increase in operations tempo and turnover certainly has an impact, particularly turnover among the Part 119 managers and safety officers. These are the individuals who perform the bulk of audit preparation and onsite participation, and their lack of experience can have a direct effect on outcomes. This often leads to repeat findings, which are especially troublesome. In the end, all findings must be corrected to earn an ARGUS rating. Regardless of how an operator achieves it, our audit and rating programs are raising the bar for safety across the industry.

  • Let ARGUS help your operation stand out with the Gold Certified Rating

Bloomfield, NJ (April 30, 2026) – Twenty-five years ago, ARGUS created the CHEQ rating system to analyze operators’ safety history and ensure they met stringent standards. This included a review of accidents and/or regulatory actions, verification of the AOC, D085 and insurance certificates, and validation of pilot type ratings and experience. Over time, ARGUS has recognized a need for greater due diligence to ensure the quality of the Gold rating. In 2025, we introduced the Gold Certified rating and began phasing out the legacy Gold rating. The legacy Gold rating will no longer be offered after May 2027, to be replaced by Gold Certified. Any current Gold operators who wish to maintain an ARGUS rating will have to complete an audit of their processes in addition to the existing CHEQ requirements. For Gold Certified, we developed the ARGUS Basic Audit Standard (BAS) which is derived from the same ARGUS Audit Standard (AAS) used for Platinum ratings. Both are based on ICAO Annex 6 guidance and other recognized industry best practices. The BAS audit is considerably shorter than a full AAS audit, performed remotely in one day with one auditor. While less demanding than a Platinum audit, the Gold Certified audit evaluates an operator’s conformance to essential elements from the same categories: Safety Management System and Emergency Response Plans Organization controls and personnel qualifications Manuals and recordkeeping Training of aircrew, maintenance, and operational control personnel Flight Operations management, SOPs, and operational control procedures Maintenance programs (maintenance control/planning, inspection programs, personnel qualifications, quality assurance, tool and parts control) Additionally, all SMS questions are indexed to the relevant sections of Part 5, which will enable US operators to complete your FAA compliance statement with confidence. If you already have an SMS, the Gold Certified audit provides assurance that it is fully effective. Any findings raised during the audit will be addressed through our Corrective Action process with our Audit Production manager, who will guide you to ensure corrective actions satisfy the intent of the standard. Once all findings are closed, you will receive your final audit report and Gold Certified certificate. Finally, ARGUS will promote your achievement through social media marketing and the argus.aero website.
