Summertime business aviation activity in North America is down 8.1% this year compared to the Summer of 2022. Daily averages are down every day of the week in the same year over year comparison. The biggest drop was observed on Tuesdays, down 12.2% from 2022.
The top 10 airports during this time period experienced an overall decline in flight activity of 3.5% from Summer 2022 to 2023. The top airport, KTEB, observed a 10.7% increase in flight activity over this time period. All nine of the other airports making up the top 10 from 2022 experienced a decline in acitivty in 2023. The largest declines were observed at Dekalb-Peachtree Airport (KPDK 12.9%) and Westchester County Airport (KHPN 12.1%).
