ARGUS is taking COVID-19 restrictions seriously.  This live, in-person, class has been moved to a location that will accommodate the social distancing measures recommended by the CDC.   The State of Colorado now has in place a mandatory mask order that applies within all indoor public spaces.  Assuming the order stays in place through September, all students will be required to wear a mask while attending the course.  There are exceptions, of which several are described here:

First, you can take off your mask while seated AND eating.

Second, the mask can be removed for public speaking.

1. Our plan is the instructor will not have a mask on when in front of the class and standing beyond a line( that will be marked on the floor) that is at least 7 feet in front of the front row.  When the instructor crosses that line toward the class, he/she will be masked up.
2. For students, they are allowed to unmask to speak during class so long as they are seated in their designated spot (that gives everyone a minimum 6-foot bubble around them).  We intend to have a microphone system available in the event people would prefer to keep their mask on while they speak.
3. Individuals who cannot medically tolerate a face-covering do not have to wear a mask.  We suggest you carry appropriate documentation in case you are questioned by a hotel staff member or any authority who can issue citations.  If you fall into this category we will kindly ask that you take a seat in the front row so as to not be facing other students during most of the class.

Ultimately your attendance in this course depends upon you being comfortable being here. If the procedures above are not satisfactory to you, or you feel you do not want to risk the other aspects of travel, please let me know and we can reschedule you for the next course convening (or to an online version if we end up going that route). The class ends at 4pm on the last day. Please schedule your departing flight no earlier than 7pm on the last day.

Yes. We design this class for All Safety Management Personnel. We use PRISM software in our examples, but the class is designed for all participants.

Yes. The class is a collaborative, interactive course that works to help walk through some of the attendee’s specific scenarios relating to their operation.

All participants will receive copies of SMS training posters to take back to their organization.

We do not provide transportation from the airport.  Denver has many resources for you to take advantage of including taxis, rental cars, Uber, and a light rail that connects from the Airport to walking distance from the hotel.
