ARGUS International maintains one of the largest aviation safety databases in the world. We recognize how important it is to maintain the privacy of personal information and we operate in a manner consistent with the industry best practices in this regard. With these best practices in mind, we have developed this Privacy Policy which meets or exceeds the applicable laws regarding the collection and use of personal information in those jurisdictions where we do business. SAFE HARBOR
The Safe Harbor Program is a voluntary self-certification process for companies operating in the United States. Companies that certify represent that they adhere to the privacy standards for personal information received from the European Union that have been jointly accepted by the European Union Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Personal information that ARGUS International receives from the European Economic Union will be handled in accordance with the Safe Harbor Principles.

SCOPE
This policy applies to all personal information received by ARGUS International from the European Economic Union in any format including electronic, paper or verbal.
PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
NOTICE
Our Privacy Policy applies to all websites owned and operated by ARGUS International and to any personal information collected by ARGUS International. Where ARGUS International collects personal information directly from individuals in the European Union, it will inform them about the purpose for which it collects and uses personal information. ARGUS International will notify individuals how to contact us with any inquiries or complaints, the types of third parties we may share their personal information with, and the choice and means ARGUS International offers for limiting the use and disclosure of their personal information.
CHOICE
It is the policy of ARGUS International to give individuals the opportunity to choose whether their personal information will be used for purposes incompatible with the purpose for which it was originally collected. Even after you have granted ARGUS International your consent to collect personal information, your company can opt-out of the program. Individuals can exercise the option to opt-out of having sensitive information shown to third parties.
ONWARD TRANSFER
ARGUS International will only transfer personal information about individuals to third parties where the third party has satisfactorily assured ARGUS International that it will protect the personal information consistent with this Policy, or if they are located in the European Union, Switzerland or a country considered adequate for privacy by the European Union Commission, therefore required to comply with European Union data protection laws or substantially equivalent privacy laws, or the third party is Safe Harbor certified.
ARGUS International will provide reasonable mechanisms for individuals to exercise their choice regarding their personal information.
ACCESS
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by the Operator Data Maintenance Program (ODMP). We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
SECURITY
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
ARGUS International will take reasonable precautions to protect European Union personal information in its possession from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
DATA INTEGRITY
ARGUS International uses personal information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by an individual or company. ARGUS International will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete and current.
ENFORCEMENT
ARGUS International uses a self-assessment approach to assure compliance with this privacy policy and periodically verifies that the policy is accurate, comprehensive for the information intended to be covered, prominently displayed, completely implemented and accessible and in conformity with Safe Harbors ‘Seven Principles.’ We encourage interested persons to raise any concerns using the contact information provided and we will investigate and attempt to resolve any complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of Personal information in accordance with the above Principles.
If a complaint or dispute cannot be resolved through our internal process, we agree to dispute resolution using the service provided by the European Data Protection Authorities (DPAs), or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (DFPIC) as appropriate.
LIMITATION ON SCOPE OF PRINCIPLES
Adherence to these Privacy Principles may be limited to the extent required to respond to a legal or ethical obligation, and to the extent expressly permitted by an applicable law, rule or regulation.
